Today is, has just become one of the best days –
My liver function tests came back completely normal. Not one elevation. Not even close to a elevation.
Which means – I can continue taking my new drug.
This almost leaves me speechless. Speechless for a few moments anyway. Somehow, somewhere, even with all the infections, traffic jams, scarring, and repairing, my body’s organs can somehow find their way home and do the job they were born to do. Somewhere, somehow – even after 38 years . . .
It is like a gate has opened and I am running through it – I am running as fast as I can. I am determined to get stronger, build more endurance, and just keep going. The other day, I did the stairs again to see if my time was fluke or not, and I clocked in at 4.05 – so, not a fluke. I did my treadmill and I usually set it at a 4 incline. I went up to 6 without difficulty. This drug is working –
I am so thankful and so full of gratitude it has left me speechless again.
Thank you liver. I knew you could do it.
I may just go out and celebrate.
