I wrote this little didi about a week and half ago –
The Dawn
The Sun shuts its eyes,
Gives a solemn sigh
“Rest now,” the Ocean says,
Settle in until the night turns over again
Let me gather my friends –
All the world’s Trees, you see
They anchor you and me –
Roots, seep in deep and strong
Validating – We all do belong,
Branches, lift each leaf straight into the sky
Each, stretch as far below as they do up high
And they nearly never collide
“But can they give life as much as I?”
“Of course,” the Ocean says
They give us air to breathe, and
Absorb all that we don’t need
Now ease . . .
Step back . . .
Listen – “Hear that tap,
Hear them sing?”
The dawn of the pendulum
Thus done swings
That is when, it is
Time for you to bless us again,
Until then, you sleep,
I will sleep, and take in
All that has been given.
That is all for now.
